PROFESSIONAL ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITY
The firm of Daudlin, DeBeaupre and Company has been retained to conduct an executive search for a Director of Home Health & Hospice position with Memorial Healthcare in Owosso, Michigan. This newly created position that combines the Home Health and Hospice services reports directly to the Vice President, Patient Care Services.
The Director is responsible for providing the leadership and administration for all home health and hospice functions. The Department consist of 26 FTE’s, including a Coordinator, Social Worker and a Medical Director. In addition, there are 3 part-time employees and 12 per-diem employees. In 2007, Memorial Healthcare provided 18,001 home care visits and 6,488 hospice visits.
The requirements for this position include an undergraduate degree in a related area, with a BSN strongly preferred. A Master’s degree would be ideal. A valid Michigan nursing license and a minimum of five years supervisory/management experience in home care and/or hospice are required. Strong communication skills and a keen understanding of outcome based quality improvement are also essential requirements for this position.
